Buckstone

Once upon a time, there was a guy with a dream. . . . that guy was Tom Kirk, and his dream was to write songs, play them out for everyone to hear, beat on some stuff, and drink beer. Tom had the good fortune of meeting the guitar-playin’ explosion who is Jamie Adkins. One day Jamie told Tom, “Man, you’ve got to check out Buck Owens. This stuff will change your life.” Sure enough, it did. One thing led to another and Jamie and Tom became two guys with a dream and country album. At that point they needed a bass player- and their Iron-Maiden-loving friend, Di, (who had never had the occasion to play a walking bass line in her life) just seemed to be the best-suited person for the job. From there practices happened, beer was drank, and shows were booked. . . and somehow, things just worked. So that’s how one guy with a dream turned into three good friends in a country band- and that band is Buckstone (a name that refers to Mr. Owens, of course).
